Account Setup
After your first login, complete your account setup to get the most out of HelpYard. This takes about 10 minutes and ensures workers and clients see accurate information from day one.
Organisation profile
Go to Admin → Settings and fill in:
- Company name — displayed in the platform header, emails, and PDF exports
- Logo — PNG or SVG, minimum 200×200px. Upload under Settings → Branding
- Primary contact email — used for system notifications and client communications
- Business address — UAE address required for compliance records
- Trade licence number — stored for UAE regulatory purposes
Notification preferences
HelpYard sends email notifications for key operational events. Configure which events trigger an email under Profile → Notifications:

Turn off events that generate noise for your team — for example, high-volume operations may want to disable individual check-in notifications.
Set up properties first
Before inviting your team, set up at least one property and its venues. Workers need to be assigned to a property before they can be assigned to tasks at that property.
Recommended setup order:
- Add properties (see Adding Properties)
- Add venues for each property
- Create workers and assign them to properties
- Invite users
Invite your team
Once your profile and at least one property are set up, invite your team:
- Go to Admin → Users
- Click Add User
- Enter their email and select a role
- They receive a login link by email — valid for 10 minutes
For large teams, use Bulk Import instead of adding users one by one.
