Task Dispatch
When a task is created and assigned, it is dispatched to the worker’s HelpYard mobile interface. Dispatch is automatic — as soon as you click Create Task, the worker is notified.
Worker notification
Workers receive a browser push notification (if they have granted permission) and the task appears at the top of their task list in the mobile web interface at app.helpyard.ae. Workers do not need a native app — the mobile interface is a progressive web app that works in any browser.
What workers see
Each dispatched task shows the worker:
- Task title and full description
- Property name, address, and venue
- Due date and time
- Attached checklist (if any)
- A map link to the site location
QR check-in requirement
Before a worker can mark a task as started, they must scan the venue QR code at the location. This confirms physical presence and records:
- Worker identity
- Exact venue
- Timestamp
- GPS coordinates
Accepting and starting a task
- Worker opens the task on their device
- They tap Start Task
- The app prompts them to scan the venue QR code
- Once scanned, the task moves to In Progress and start time is recorded
- The task becomes visible as In Progress to all supervisors on the dispatcher view
Dispatcher view
From the Tasks dashboard, supervisors can see all active tasks on a live board sorted by status and due time. Use the filter bar to narrow by property, worker, or status.
Resending a notification
If a worker reports they didn’t receive the task notification:
- Open the task
- Click Actions → Resend Notification
- The worker receives a fresh notification and email
Reassigning mid-job
If you need to reassign a task while it is In Progress:
- Open the task
- Click Actions → Reassign
- Select the new worker
The original worker’s check-in is preserved in the audit log. The new worker must scan the venue QR code and start the task fresh.
